Description
A PCC (Power Control Center) Panel is the main low-voltage power distribution panel in an electrical system. It receives power from a transformer or generator and distributes it safely to MCC panels, distribution boards, lighting panels, HVAC systems, and other electrical loads.
Main Functions
* Receives incoming power from a transformer or DG set.
* Distributes electrical power to different sections of the plant.
* Provides protection against overloads and short circuits.
* Monitors electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power, and energy.
* Enables safe isolation and maintenance of electrical circuits.
Main Components
* ACB (Air Circuit Breaker) – Main incomer and high-current outgoing feeders
* MCCB (Moulded Case Circuit Breaker) – Outgoing feeders
* Busbars (Copper or Aluminium)
* Current Transformers (CTs) and Potential Transformers (PTs) (if required)
* Multifunction Meter (MFM) / Energy Meter
* Protective Relays
* Capacitor Bank Feeder (if applicable)
* Indication Lamps (R-Y-B phase indication)
* Push Buttons & Selector Switches
* Terminal Blocks
* Earthing Bus
Typical Specifications
* Voltage: 415 V AC, 3 Phase, 4 Wire
* Frequency: 50 Hz
* Current Rating: Typically 630 A to 6300 A (depending on application)
* Short Circuit Withstand: As per system fault level
* Protection: IP42, IP54, IP55
